Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (e.g. localStorage, sessionStorage, mobile advertising IDs and SDK identifiers) fulfil comparable purposes inside our mobile app.

• Strictly necessary — required to render the site and remember your consent choice. No consent required (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Functional storage — localStorage entries for theme preference and language. No personal data.
• Analytics / advertising — only set if you explicitly consent. The website itself currently does not load third-party analytics or ad cookies by default.

The Flying Pengu mobile app uses the following storage technologies:

• Local storage — game progress, high scores, unlocked items, settings. Stays on your device.
• Google AdMob — advertising identifiers and measurement SDKs, only with your consent (and ATT permission on iOS).
• Firebase Analytics — pseudonymous usage events, only with your consent.
• Firebase Crashlytics — crash diagnostics (legitimate interest).
• RevenueCat — pseudonymous purchase identifiers, to manage and restore in-app purchases.

Strictly necessary cookies and storage are based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing the service). All other cookies and tracking technologies are only used with your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 165 TKG 2021.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time:

• In the app: Settings → Manage Consent.
• In your browser: delete cookies and site data via your browser settings.
• On iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, to manage App Tracking Transparency permissions.
• On Android: Settings → Google → Ads, to reset or opt out of personalised ads.

Cookies and local storage are retained for as long as needed for the stated purpose, or until you delete them. Advertising and analytics providers apply their own retention periods, typically up to 14 months.
